Rodel Luis Nacianceno (born on November 1, 1981), better known by his stage name, Coco Martin, is a critically acclaimed Gawad Urian Award-winning Filipino actor. He became famous for starring in many independent films,[1] and was dubbed the Prince of Philippine Independent Films. He is also known for his portrayal of Ramon Lecumberri in the critically acclaimed television series, Tayong Dalawa,[2] as well as for his award-winning dual role as the twins Alexander and Javier del Tierro in the series Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin, and main protagonist role as Daniel Guidotti in Walang Hanggan. He currently lives with his grandmother who raised him. He has five siblings, three from both his parents and two step siblings on his father's side.

Martin started out in Davao with Isagani Gultiano[3] Alexander Aban[4] Meljhun Rieta[5]& Gene Earl Perez[6] ABS-CBN's talent agency, Star Magic, as part of the Star Circle Batch 9. He made his first cameo film appearance in the 2001 film Luv Text where he was credited under his real name, Rodel Nacianceno, followed by many independent films.

    2004-2008: Star Circle Quest and Supporting Roles[edit]
    Her career began when she won as Grand Questor in the second season of the reality talent search Star Circle Quest in 2005, and later becoming a part of ABS-CBN's home-based training and management program, Star Magic after her win. Erich became a familiar face as she appeared in numerous shows and dramas as a supporting actress, such as Dorina in the hit phenomenon TV series Mga Anghel Na Walang Langit.     Erich got her biggest break in 2009 when she played the protagonist of a teenage mother in the TV adaptation of the 1980 film Katorse, alongside Enchong Dee, Ejay Falcon, and Xian Lim. The series became a top rater and was critically acclaimed catapulting Erich to stardom, earning her the title Breakthrough Star of 2009 by an entertainment news show, The Buzz.[2]

    In 2010, following the success of Katorse, she landed her second lead role in the TV series Tanging Yaman alongside her Katorse co-stars Enchong Dee and Ejay Falcon. The series was one of ABS-CBN's offerings for the 60th Celebration of Filipino Soap Operas. While the series was still airing, Erich had begun working for her third series project, Magkaribal. Earning seven million pesos on its first day, the movie becomes the Highest Grossing Digital Film.[13][14] As a result, Star Cinema crowned Erich with the title Philippine Box Office Queen for Digital Independent Film.[15]
    In May of 2012, Erich began working on her biggest project of the year, Suddenly It's Magic, a film with Thai actor Mario Maurer under Star Cinema. With the collaboration of Filipino and Thai production teams, actors, and actresses, the film is the first Filipino-Thai movie created between the two countries. The official movie was released on October 31, 2012 in the Philippines, March 14, 2013 in Thailand,[16] and March 28, 2013 in Cambodia.[17]
    The latter part of 2012 was a hectic one for Erich. She made her debut appearance in Canada as part of the TFC Liga Kapamilya Basketball Finals at the end of August.
